PLAYING FOR GLORY

It’s been said, “Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” For the vast majority of the western world, playing is something done for a host of other reasons, but certainly not for the glory of God. Many think that doing something to the glory of God happens at a religious event, such as going to church. However, that may be why so much of the world of sport has sunk into a self-indulgent attempt to gain glory for oneself.

That is why this blog is devoted to recapturing the joy of sport. If we can turn our reasons for play away from attempts to make a name for ourselves and instead play to demonstrate the goodness of God, then many of the ills of sport will be remedied.

Join me as we aim to restore the joy and beauty of play.
